Bordered by the jagged peaks of the Teton Mountain Range, Jackson Hole, Wyoming, is one of the most popular ski destinations in the country. It’s home to a number of upscale ski resorts and is the perfect place to go to shred some fresh powder. If you’re planning a ski trip to Jackson this winter, be sure to attend the Jackson Hole Ski Swap. This annual fundraising event is hosted by the Jackson Hole Ski and Snowboard Club and is a great place to sell or buy gear for the upcoming season. What You'll See at the Jackson Hole Ski Swap

Each fall, vendors and locals head to the Heritage Arena rodeo grounds to sell new and used items at the Ski Swap. You’ll find everything from nordic and alpine ski equipment to snowboarding gear and clothing. The Jackson Hole Ski & Snowboard Club retains 25% of the sale price of all items. This year’s event will be held on October 22, 2016, and below is the full event schedule.

The 2016 Jackson Hole Ski Swap

Drop-Off | Friday, October 21

From 12 to 7 p.m. on Friday, the public is invited to the Heritage Arena to drop off items they wish to sell. If you have a lot to sell, give the Jackson Hole Ski & Snowboard Club a call to arrange for a pre-sale package. There is a one dollar handling fee per item with a cap of seven dollars. The club kindly requests ski and snowboard equipment only - no rear entry boots, straight skis, or items in boxes.

Sale | Saturday, October 22

The Ski Swap kicks off with a special Early Bird preview at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday. Guests can enjoy coffee from Elevated Grounds, burritos from Pica's Taqueria, and a first look at the best items on sale. Early Bird admission tickets are $10.

At 8:15 a.m. the Jackson Hole Ski Swap will be open to the public. General admission is $1 for adults and free for children under 12. Cash, checks, and all major credit cards are accepted.

Pick Up | Saturday, October 22

Once the sale has come to a close, you can pick up any of your unsold items from the arena between 2 and 4 p.m. Items not picked up by 4 p.m. will be considered a donation and taken to the Sublette County Ski Swap in Pinedale, Wyoming.
