Situated amongst the lush forests and looming peaks of the Teton Mountain Range, Jackson Hole golf courses offer challenging terrain and jaw-dropping views that provide a day of fun and adventure for golfers of all skill levels. The next time you stay at the Bentwood Inn, grab your clubs and head to the green for an afternoon of relaxation and excitement! Here are some of our favorite places to play. Four of the Best Jackson Hole Golf Courses1. Jackson Hole Golf and Tennis ClubOriginally purchased by Laurance Rockefeller in 1967, the Jackson Hole Golf & Tennis Club was the first golf club open for business in Jackson Hole and underwent a $15 million dollar renovation in 2007. Now one of the most sought after golf destinations in the country, the course features a state-of-the-art irrigation system, a practice facility and driving range, and a 12,000 square foot clubhouse where you’ll find a golf and tennis shop, locker rooms, a restaurant, and even a fitness center. Guests can book a tee time on the course, or practice their skills at one of the many instructional programs offered throughout the summer. 2. Teton Pines Country ClubThe Teton Pines Golf Club in Jackson Hole is often regarded as one of the finest golf facilities in the United States and was designed by Arnold Palmer in 1987. Here, golfers can take on the challenging 18-hole course, or take advantage of the club’s tennis center, cross-country ski trails, restaurant and bar, pro shop, and more. After you tee off, keep your eyes peeled for frequent fairway visitors like moose, deer, elk, bald eagles, fox, geese, and osprey! 3. Targhee Village Golf CourseSituated on the border of Idaho and Wyoming, Targhee Village Golf Course is about a 45-minute drive from our inn and is nestled in the foothills of Targhee National Forest. This nine-hole golf course offers a casual and friendly atmosphere where guests of all skill levels can challenge themselves. The course also features a practice facility, driving range, and spectacular scenic beauty, but players beware - you might get distract by a moose wading in the pond or a sandhill crane nesting on the island! 4. Shooting StarAlthough a private course, the 254-acre Shooting Star Golf Course at the base of the Grand Tetons is truly a sight to behold. The 18-hole course was sensitively designed by renowned architect Tom Fazio to respect Jackson Hole's vistas, wildlife habitat, and open landscapes. The course is framed by streams, lakes, ponds, and forests and provides an exceptional golfing experience you won't find anywhere else in the world.
