The Jackson Hole Airport (JAC) is a United States public airport located seven miles north of Jackson in Teton County, WY. In 2014, it was the busiest airport in Wyoming with 313,000 traveling passengers. Jackson Hole Airport is the only commercial airport in the country located within a national park. If you plan on hitting the slopes during your stay, you can bring your own ski and snowboard equipment as checked baggage. One ski/snowboard bag and one boot bag is accepted per person. Just make sure the combined weight of your bag doesn’t exceed 50 lbs, or you’ll be charged a hefty excess baggage fee!

Traveling to the town of Jackson Hole is a breeze from the airport. It’s just a 30-minute drive to Jackson Hole Mountain Resort by rental car, shuttle, or taxi! A variety of Jackson Hole car rental companies are located on the airport grounds, including Avis, Hertz, and Enterprise. They’ll take you wherever you need to go quickly and safely.

3. Airport Services

Visitors to the Jackson Hole Airport have access to a variety of amenities and services that make traveling more enjoyable. Gift shops, snack machines, restrooms, ATMs, and wireless internet access are available. The airport’s restaurant, “Jedediah’s at the Airport”, is also open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Feel free to stop in for eggs, bacon, and pancakes, and more before you take on the day. You can even quench your thirst at the full-service bar.

4. Leaving Jackson Hole

When your once-in-a-lifetime vacation comes to an end, Jackson Hole Airport has an easy 4-step process to guarantee a smooth take-off. Check in and pay for your bags online the night before your flight. You should also print the receipt and keep all digital confirmation. Arrive at least two hours before your departure time, and have your online check-in receipts ready. Then sit back, relax, and wait for your plane!
