When to Go

The Jackson Hole ski season is nearly five months long, giving both skiers and snowboarders plenty of time to carve their own path in the fresh powder. The season runs from opening day on November 24th until April 7th, but there is never a bad time to start planning your trip! If you’re trying to maximize your shred levels, Jackson Hole’s peak season (when you’ll find the best conditions) usually occurs around mid-January to February. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is no joke. Ranked number one on Forbes’ “top 10 ski resorts in North America,” Jackson Hole hosts some of the most impressive runs and expansive backcountry terrain in the country. The skiable area of Jackson Hole covers over 2,500 acres. This is by no means the country’s biggest resort, but with its large number of ski lifts and gondolas, almost every acre is easily accessible, making for an experience that bests even larger resorts like Whistler and Powder Mountain. Snow King Mountain Resort

How to Get to Jackson Hole

The Jackson Hole Airport offers the easiest and most convenient access to all of Jackson Hole’s best ski resorts. The airport services direct flights from 12 major cities across the U.S. and is just seven minutes from Jackson, Wyoming. Occasionally, winter weather makes landing in Jackson quite difficult. When flights into Jackson Hole Airport are diverted, they usually end up in Idaho Falls Regional Airport or Salt Lake City, Utah, both of which are a couple of hours drive from Jackson Hole.
