Your Ultimate Jackson Hole Skiing Itinerary

Morning: Fuel Your Body

Everyone knows that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. That's especially true if you plan to spend a few hours shredding up the slopes! At Bentwood Inn, guests are treated to a freshly prepared, gourmet breakfast each morning that will keep you energized. Our chef-prepared breakfast begins with locally roasted organic coffee and continues with a mosaic of seasonal fruit, homemade sweet breads, and something sizzled on the griddle. We offer a different menu each day, so you’ll have a delicious surprise day after day!

Afternoon: Tear Up the Mountain

Jackson Hole offers three unique ski areas for guests to enjoy. To get your adrenaline flowing, head to Jackson Hole Mountain Resort where you can experience one of the steepest vertical drops of any ski area in the country (4,139 feet, to be exact). You could also check out Grand Targhee Resort. It's located in the western part of the Tetons and is one of the top three resorts in North America for snow quality and quantity.

Looking for an exclusive Jackson Hole skiing experience? Be sure to visit Snow King Mountain. Opened in 1939, Snow King is the oldest ski resort in Wyoming and features 400 acres of beginner and expert terrain. It's also the only resort to offer night skiing and is considerably less expensive than Jackson Hole and Grand Targhee. Visit their website to learn more about lift ticket prices.

All You Need to Know About Jackson Hole Ski Season

Winter in Jackson Hole is, as you may expect, the best time to visit Jackson Hole if you're planning on skiing. This is the time for fresh, deep powder and mostly clear skies—the perfect conditions for shredding the slopes. Here, winter begins around mid-November and extends into early March. Ski season in Jackson Hole varies a little each year, however, depending on snowfall. It's usually safe to assume that the season begins in November and ends in April (when the snow finally begins to melt). The best way to track each year's ski season in Jackson Hole is to follow resort opening/closing dates and check conditions out on the slopes.

No matter when you visit between November and April, you're sure to fall in love with Jackson Hole's world-class runs and breathtaking terrain. Annual snowfall here ranges between 500 inches (at highest elevations) and 280 inches (on the valley floor), so there's plenty of powder for you to explore all season long.
