Winter Activities at Snow King Mountain

Skiing & Snowboarding

Snow King Mountain Resort is most famous for its incredible skiing and snowboarding. Skiing since 1939, Snow King the oldest ski resort in Wyoming and offers 400 acres of beginner and expert terrain. It's also the only resort to offer night skiing and is considerably less expensive than Jackson Hole and Grand Targhee.

Terrain Parks

One of the best ways to hone your skiing/riding skills is to visit a terrain park. Snow King Mountain has two parks to explore: Old Man’s Flats and the Base Area Rail Park. Old Man’s Flats is a slopestyle park with intermediate/advanced features like ramps and jumps. The Base Area Rail Park also has a variety of rails, jumps, and slides to test your skills. Terrain Park access is included with your lift ticket.

Snow Tubing

Snow tubing in Jackson Hole is a wonderful activity that allows non-skiers the chance to get out and enjoy the fresh powder. King Tubes has snow tubes, three groomed lanes, and a rope tow to pull you and your tube up the hill. All you have to bring is some warm clothes and a need for speed!

Summer Activities at Snow King Mountain

Mini Golf

Looking for a fun, family-friendly activity to enjoy this summer? Head to the state-of-the-art miniature golf course at Snow King Mountain Resort. This exciting 18-hole course features multiple levels and water challenges, including a waterfall and pond. It’s open through September.

Zip Line & Ropes Course

Walk over suspended bridges, scramble up nets, and even ride an aerial skateboard on the Snow King Mountain ropes course! Adults and kids courses are available. The Full Adult Course is suspended 12-80 feet off the forest floor and has obstacles like wobbly bridges, swinging logs, climbing nets, and zip lines. For younger ones, the Flying Squirrel Course is suspended 6-10 feet and has many of the same features as the adult course.

Alpine Slide

The Snow King Mountain Alpine Slide is the only one of its kind in Jackson Hole. This exciting ride has over half a mile of track and reaches speeds up to 25 miles per hour! You’ll have incredible views of the Tetons as you fly through twists and turns. The slide begins at the base of the Rafferty Lift.

Hiking

If you’re searching for the best views in Jackson Hole, take a hike to the top of Snow King Mountain. A 1.8-mile trail ascends 1,571 vertical feet from the main base area and offers a gorgeous panorama of the Tetons, the National Elk Refuge, and the town of Jackson. Be sure to view a trail map before heading out.
