History of the Snowmobile Hill Climb

The Jackson Hole Snow Devils snowmobile club was established in 1964. Shortly after, about 20 members started a small hill climb in 1975. Today, the event has grown into one of the largest non-profit charity snowmobile events in the United States with more than 10,000 spectators. Hundreds of volunteer racers from all over the U.S. and Canada flock to Jackson Hole to compete in several categories, depending on their machines and experience. An awards ceremony is even held after the final race!

What to Expect at the 2018 Snowmobile Hill Climb

Now in its 42nd year, the upcoming Snowmobile Hill Climb is expected to be the best one to date! The event is televised on two JumboTrons, one located right at the base of Snow King Mountain and one located inside the ball field. If you don’t want to watch from the grandstand, feel free to ride the lifts up and down the snowy hill for a great spot. Food and beer concessions will also be available with the official Hill Climb Merchandise Tent.
