While there’s plenty to do here in town, you’ll discover even more adventures within driving distance. 3 of Our Favorite Day Trips Around Jackson Hole

Yellowstone National Park

The southern portion of Yellowstone National Park is just a 60-minute drive from Jackson Hole! It’s also the most geographically unique part of the park. Guests can explore the Yellowstone Caldera (also known as the Yellowstone Supervolcano) which features geothermal hot spots, hot springs, geysers, and “mud pots.” You’ll even find some amazing waterfalls in this area. We are happy to recommend great hiking trails and off-the-beaten-path driving tours before you begin your journey! The scenic drive from Jackson Hole to Yellowstone makes this day trip one of our favorites.

Grand Teton National Park

While many visitors flock to Jackson Hole for its close proximity to Yellowstone, they are surprised to find that there are just as many wonderful things to do in Grand Teton National Park. Not only is this stunning park located less than 20 minutes away from Bentwood Inn, but it also features a wide variety of exciting outdoor activities like hiking, wildlife-spotting, biking, and more. Be sure to snap photos of the jaw-dropping mountain scenery—it has been featured in several movies!

Granite Hot Springs

Did you know that Wyoming is home to natural hot springs? We recommend driving the 37 miles (one hour) south of Bentwood Inn to experience the Granite Hot Springs Pool in the Bridger-Teton National Forest. You’ll love soaking in the soothing, natural water while taking in views of the surrounding spruce, fir, and pine forest! Though based in nature, the Granite Hot Springs Pool offers access to bathrooms, picnic tables, and informational kiosks. The pool is open in both summer and winter months. Before you go, make sure you check the U.S.D.A. website for updated admission information.
