How to Spend an Afternoon at the Teton County Fair

Held in Jackson, Wyoming each July, this beloved summer event is the perfect place to bring the family. Enjoy free attractions like contests, live music, and a petting zoo, or check out the Frazier Shows Carnival. You’ll even find a variety of food concessions like cotton candy and pizza. 2017 Teton County Fair Schedule

Wednesday, July 26th | 6 p.m.

The Teton County Fair kicks off this year with a free concert from Major Zephyr, a local Jackson talent who will take the stage with Aaron Watson. Grab a beer and some food and enjoy dancing the night away to the sounds of good old-fashioned Americana.

Thursday, July 27th | 7 p.m.

The ever-popular pig wrestling contest is back! Watch teams of four attempt to capture a pig and place it in a barrel during this test of brains and brawn. The contest is a ticketed event so remember to purchase your tickets online or at the box office.

Friday, July 28th | 7 p.m.

This year, the Teton County Fair is hosting a Xtreme Ninja Challenge for the first time in fair history. The Ninja Course will be open to the public Friday afternoon, and on Friday night, participants will compete for the coveted title of Champion Ninja.

Saturday, July 29th | 8 p.m.

If you’ve never been to a rodeo, you’re in luck! During fair week, visitors can admire the talents of cowboys and cowgirls as they compete for cash prizes and buckles. You’ll see barrel racing, bull riding, saddle bronc, bareback riding, team roping, and much more. Sunday, July 30th | 7 p.m.

The annual Figure 8 Race is by far the fair’s most popular event. Feel free to cheer on local talent as they test their skill and timing behind the wheel while navigating the tricky “8” course. The race always sells out so be sure to purchase your tickets early.
