Are you searching for a great place to fish in Wyoming? Look no further than the Snake River. Flowing the entire length of Jackson Hole, this river is a paradise for fisherman and boasts over 70 miles of blue ribbon trout fishing. Whether you’re an avid angler or have never cast a line, Snake River fishing is a wonderful way to spend a day outdoors in Jackson Hole! Here are some of our favorite guided trips.
The professionals at the Wandering Angler take guests on half day, full day, or multi-day trips down one of the greatest rivers in the Teton Mountain Range. Every year, their guides compete in the One Fly Tournament on this section of the river and always score in the top 20! Enjoy either fly fishing or spin fishing for fine spotted Cutthroat Trout that average 12-14 inches, with chances of catching bigger fish in the 16-18 inch range.
Offering fishing trips on the Snake River, the Green River, and the South Fork of the Snake River in Idaho, Fish The Fly will put you in the right place at the right time. Their passionate group of fly fishing guides live on the local waters of Jackson Hole and are experts in the area’s fly fishing scene. Try wade fishing the Park section of the Snake or in a boat in the Snake River Canyon, where there are more fish per mile than anywhere else on the river.
Snake River Angler is a full-service fly fishing shop that offers full and half day trips. From March 1st through November, guests may cast a line with breathtaking views of the Teton Range as a backdrop. This fishery boasts the most permits to fish in the area, so your chances of catching a big one are high! They provide transportation to and from the river, and full-day trips include beverages and a relaxing streamside lunch.
Set in the heart of Jackson Hole, Reel Deal Anglers offers an amazing fishing experience on the Snake River. Their professional guides will teach you how to catch Cutthroat Trout while you take in the amazing scenery. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife such as elk, deer, bison, eagles, osprey and more! Guided trips are available from March to October.
Located below Jackson Lake Dam in Grand Teton National Park, Grand Teton Fly Fishing offers awesome fly fishing lessons for beginners. Their expert instructors will help you learn the art of fly casting during two or four-hour lessons. Classes are held for up to four people and loaner fly rods are included in the price. It’s a great way to learn to fly fish!
